Volunteering

We want to thank everyone in advance for their willingness to make the Consignment Sale successful. This is an important ministry and we are truly grateful for every one of our volunteers. We could not have the sale without you.

Volunteer Guidelines

In order to have the sale run as smoothly as possible, we are asking volunteers to adhere to the following instructions:

• As our thank you for volunteering, all volunteers have the opportunity to shop during the volunteer pre-sale on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  This privilege is limited to the volunteer ONLY– please do not bring relatives, friends, etc. During the pre-sale, we strongly encourage you to leave your children with a caregiver if at all possible. The sales floor is very cramped, crowded and not a fun place for little ones. If you do choose to bring them with you, they must be supervised and stay with you at all times. Children are not allowed to play with the merchandise for sale.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to your assigned volunteer time for instructions.  Prior to your shift, stop by the volunteer station in the lobby to sign in and receive your name tag.  After you complete your shift, stop by the volunteer station again to sign out.

Important note for volunteers who are also consignors – you must follow the above instructions in order to be counted as completing a full volunteer shift and be eligible for the 70% consignor percentage.  If you do not check in, receive your name tag and check out, you will not be considered as completing a full volunteer shift and your consignor percentage will be reduced accordingly.

• For safety reasons, please do not bring children or teens with you during your volunteer time.

• We are counting on you to keep your volunteer commitment and help our sale run smoothly. If you are unable to keep your commitment and can't find a replacement, please log back into the system ASAP and cancel your volunteer job OR call the church at 703.425.3580 so we can try to find a replacement.

Take Down Sorter
ADULTS ONLY. TEENS MUST SIGN UP FOR TEEN VOLUNTEER & HAVE AN ADULT WITH THEM> After sale, sort donations and items to be returned to consignors. NOTE-if you work the shift from 4-6pm and are a consignor, you will be the first to pick up your unsold items!
